Today the girls in Third Class visited the Egyptian Ambassador in the embassy. They were made very welcome by the ambassador and they thoroughly enjoyed their visit. They presented the ambassador with a painting they had made of a beautiful daffodil. Written on the painting were the words of ‘Cill Aodáin’, a very famous Irish poem which celebrates the arrival of Spring to Ireland. The girls were delighted to show the posters, flags and papyrus bookmarks they received as presents from the ambassador. Indeed, they themselves were excellent ambassadors and flew the Scoil Bhríde (Cailíní) flag with aplomb!
