Sam Maguire Comes to Scoil Bhríde!

On Thursday 26th November, we had the great honour of welcoming the Sam Maguire cup to the school. Sam was brought along for all of us to admire by some wonderful Dublin footballers. A great time was had by all. The girls in Sixth Class researched some very interesting facts about Croke Park and about the Sam Maguire cup which they shared with the whole school. We had some beautiful singing from Rang a Ceathar. The girls in Senior Infants entertained us all with some terrific singing  – and accompanying actions! – while their teacher played the accordion. Míle buíochas Ms. Ní Chonchubhair. The lads from the football team really enjoyed their time in the school and posed for photos with the girls from the school football team and with the teachers. We all sang ‘Molly Malone’ as they left the Hall. Let’s hope they’ll be back with Sam again next year! Up the Dubs!
