In Scoil Bhríde (Cailíní) we have girls from all over the world in our school.
Can you see your country in these photos?
Dear Parents, Guardians and Staff,
Many of you may be aware that the Church Carpark is under renovation by the Parish. There is extensive work taking place. The Parish informs us that the work will not be completed in time for the return to school on Thursday 30th August at 8.50am and that it may not be finished until later in September.
As a result of the works, there will be no access to either of the Church Carparks for the foreseeable future for either cars or pedestrians. This means that all access to the schools will have to be on foot through the EXIT GATE onto Castleknock Rd., (opposite The Bell pub). There will be no access to the school campus, for cars, between the hours of 8.00am and 4.30pm from Thursday, 30thAugust until further notice. Staff cars ONLY will be given access to the campus via the usual EXIT gate. Pedestrians will enter and leave the campus via the pedestrian side of the EXIT gate as above.
It would be advisable for parents to walk their children through their new route to school before they return to school on Thursday and perhaps to allow some extra time for the journey. Revising the Rules of the Road and reminding children to be vigilant are very important too.
While it is most unfortunate that the renovation works are not yet finished, it is important to remember that ultimately, access to the school will be easier and safer for the children as there will be a safe walkway incorporated into the Church Carpark for them.
The Parish will keep us updated on the progress of the renovation project and we will pass on information to you as soon as we have it. In the meantime, please let us all take care of our children and observe these new arrangements for as long as they need to be in place.
