La Belle France!

This Parisien scene, by the girls in 5th and 6th Classes, gives us a little taste of the beauty of the French capital.

Paris, the Seine, la tour Eiffel….. Les vacances arrivent!
Library membership

We are very fortunate to have Blanchardstown Library on our doorstep.

It is the largest library in Ireland and everyone who lives in Dublin 15 (Fingal Co. Co. area) can apply for membership.

It is now possible to join the library online.

Just go to and use the drop down menu for Community and Leisure.

This is a fantastic resource for both adults and children.

The Big Return!

A big ‘Welcome Back’ to the whole Scoil Bhríde (Cailíní) community. We extend a special welcome to all our new girls  – and teachers – and in particular to our Junior Infants.

Keep an eye on our website for all the latest news as it happens. We’ll be adding to all the categories as the year goes on.

Tá fáilte ar ais roimh gach páiste agus gach chlann go dtí Scoil Bhríde (Cailíní).

Welcome back to all our girls and to every family. A special welcome goes to all the new children from Junior Infants to Sixth. We hope you’ll be very happy while you are a pupil at this school.

Our very own art studio!

ROOM 13!

This year, in Scoil Bhríde (Cailíní), we are delighted to welcome our Artist in Residence, Orla Kelly. Orla will be working with every class to create our very own art studio, a space in which all of us, pupils, teachers and parents, can work and make great art. This is part of an international project known as Room 13. Each Room 13 studio facilitates the work of young artists alongside a professional adult Artist in Residence, providing an exchange of ideas, skills and experience across the ages.

In Room 13, pupils are encouraged to take the lead, be creative and to think for themselves. So far, every class, from Junior Infants to 6th, has enjoyed very creative art sessions with Orla. Ms Toomey’s 5th Class had the opportunity to visit Orla’s studio in Draíocht as well as Francis Bacon’s studio in The Hugh Lane Gallery in Parnell Square. This class is working tremendously hard to change an ordinary classroom into an extraordinary space that we will use as our studio.
