Mr. Maguire’s class made their way down to St. Brigid’s GAA Club today, Wednesday, 20th June, for a Camogie blitz against other schools in the Blanchardstown area. The girls walked to and from Russell Park so they certainly got plenty of exercise. This was their first experience of a camogie match and they all thoroughly enjoyed it! Earlier in the year, the St. Brigid’s Club coach had done a few training sessions with the class and all the skills that they learned during those sessions were on show today – striking, blocking, dribbling and most importantly, having fun. We’ll surely see a lot of these girls playing camogie for the school team in a couple of years.
